Meet Holyn
Hi! I’ve been a wedding photographer for about five years now and live in Greenwood, IN. I love all things neutral, skiing, scuba diving, thrifting, and board games. My hope is to hit every U.S. National park in my lifetime. This dream played a part in my own wedding day too! My husband, Morgan, and I planned the whole shebang but it just didn’t feel like us. It was important to us that our day reflected who we were, our story, and God - and since we didn’t feel like that was happening we decided to cancel everything! We headed west and got married with just our immediate families at the Grand Canyon. It was so perfect! Our wedding was in 2018, and we have since added a two amazing daughters to our family - Winne (3 years old) & Wylie (born in April 2023!). They are beautiful, wonderful blessings in my life.
My love of photography started with film almost 10 years ago as I spent hours developing my own film in a dark room at school. The thrill of wondering how my pictures would turn out was so captivating. I really struggled with what my purpose was and in that time I was brought back to photography time and time again. My love for pausing real life moments, in the blink of an eye, became my passion. There’s nothing that brings me more joy than hearing how two people fell in love and documenting their stories. When it comes to your wedding day, I’m a firm believer in making sure the day is completely about you. This day isn’t about your best friend from middle school, your crazy mother in law, or traditions Uncle Bob and Aunt Betty think you have to have. It’s about you two and your story.
I’m the kind of wedding photographer that would let you know you have kale in your teeth. I’ll pull ten different shades of pink lipstick out of my fanny pack whenever you need to reapply. I will also be fighting back tears during your first look. If you play Fergalicious, I am 100% guaranteed to break it down on the dance floor with you. Being a wedding photographer is so much more than just taking your photos and I would be honored to celebrate alongside of you.
